A hair transplant surgery would usually take place over the course of 4-8 hours, as determined by our physician. The actual duration of the procedure entirely depends on how much hair needs to be transplanted and to what extent. You will be seated during the procedure and will be assisted by our staff so that you do not need to worry about anything else throughout this process.
Everybody has a different rate of regrowth - for example, with very fine hair, it might seem like nothing’s happening when really it’s just growing long and slowly. Usually, new hair growth will begin to show after 2-4 months from the procedure, but you’re likely to see hardly any difference in your appearance at this point. It will take 4-8 months for the new hair to make any significant cosmetic difference to your appearance; 12 to 18 months for most patients.
Transplanted hair often behaves much like the hair that’s located in the region where it was taken. As a result, hair transplants may not exhibit the same type of pattern balding and may grow normally for years to come. What we do is simply re-distribute existing donor hair from a region of your scalp to areas which need more volume. Because of this method, transplanted hair may continue to grow evenly throughout one's life - or at least after you've reached your golden years!
